Hey guys,
At some point when I saw Jake was leaving Bucco Blog he had posted a note or link that said he could be reached at 4seamer.com. I added that link to my favorites, but it was never active. Well, I just checked it again after a month or so and see that Jake is getting ready to start a new site.
I know he has a lot of fans, as well as a lot of critics.
So, be sure to check that out if you want to see the grand opening in a few days/weeks. He's got a couple articles up already.
As for the old Bucco Blog site, I've been contacted by Alex and asked if I had any suggestions as to what can be done to get people back there and also back to the forum. He's sent a message to everyone, I think, saying he's going to clean-up the forum. It appears he put all his trust into Jake, and when Jake left, Alex was away, and no one else was checking on the site for infections.
Let me know if you want me to tell Alex anything specific. I'm not really sure what to tell him besides the fact the forum turned into a complete mess, Jake looks like he made some money on the site, completed his agreement with Alex, took some time off to tend to family issues, and is about to start a new site.
If anyone wants to try to keep the old Bucco Blog up and running, let me or Alex know you'd be interested in submitting articles and thoughts. I was trying to keep it productive, but when I saw no one was updating the site, I figured it was a lost cause. The fact that Jakes Takes are still featured, as well as his "So Long" featured article is still the main piece, I assumed the site was a lost cause. The other guest writers are MIA, so I'm not sure what to tell Alex.

Bucco blog is a lost cause IMO
There's very little traffic going there. The main page has to be upgraded to generate any interest. I'm surprised that none of the other bloggers aren't interested in any upkeep/input of the site.
As far as Jake, he has his followers and detractors. He did say he wasn't getting back into blogging, so I'm a little surprised to hear he's back. But then I'm sure he misses putting his gloomy attitude out there for public response.
Thanks for all the info.
